01Status

Built end-to-end for AOG Developments. Used in production.

02Context

A customer-facing, offline HTML5 kiosk app for a 75-inch Hikvision touch display in AOG Developments' sales showroom, built around full-screen video, interactive master plans and project maps.

03Problem

The sales team needed to present several coastal projects to walk-in visitors on one large touch screen, with videos, master plans and directions, without depending on an internet connection.

04My role (and what I didn’t do)

I designed and built the whole app alone: the screens, the touch interactions, the local maps server and the launch scripts. I did not shoot the videos or create the property renders and master-plan artwork; those were AOG's existing marketing assets.

05Constraints

It had to run offline on a single touch display with no backend: full-screen video, idle behaviour, and reliable touch navigation on the showroom floor.

06Architecture / workflow

  1. Touch navigation
  2. Full-screen video
  3. Idle behaviour
  4. QR directions
  5. Master-plan viewer

07What I built

I built all of it: touch navigation across several destinations and projects, full-screen video playback, an interactive master-plan viewer, a photo gallery with pinch-zoom, idle behaviour, a small local server for maps, and Windows batch scripts that launch Chrome in kiosk mode.

If no one touches the screen for 90 seconds, it returns to the welcome screen. Each project has a QR code that opens driving directions on the visitor's own phone.

08Evidence

The source code, release packages and visual QA screenshots are kept privately. They are not published, because the videos, plans and branding belong to AOG Developments.

10Limitations

11Next step

Move project content into a separate file that a marketing person can edit, and add simple on-device logging of which projects visitors open, so the sales team can see what interests them.
